Each Elephant will be sponsored by a business and beautifully designed by a talented artist to create a free, fun, family-friendly trail of discovery for the community to enjoy whilst exploring our great city.
Joining the giant Elephants roaming through Leicester will be mini-herds of Baby Elephant sculptures, adopted and decorated by schools and community groups as part of an exciting Learning Programme.
The trail launches in July 2025 and the Elephants will march on to their new homes after the trail ends in September 2025. The giant Elephant sculptures will be auctioned to raise money for LOROS Hospice, helping terminally ill local people and their families at the most difficult times of their lives.

How does it work?
As part of Stomp Round Leicester we are offering you a truly unique opportunity to sponsor a Sculpture and showcase your business to thousands of people exploring the trail.
The build-up to trail launch
We will invite new and established artists alike to submit designs for consideration that will transform the blank Elephant sculptures into an incredible piece of artwork.
By sponsoring an Elephant and joining our Elephant Foster Family you will then have the opportunity to choose the artwork that will decorate one of only 40 giant Elephant sculptures. By selecting artwork from our shortlist that reflects your core values, you can promote both your business and what you stand for at the same time.
10 weeks of trail
Once decorated, a parade of Elephants will appear on our city streets as part of a 10-week art trail. Residents young and old will be able to find the herd via our bespoke Stomp Round Leicester trail map and mobile app. Your brand and business vision / mission will be front and centre on the main sculpture information plaque for your Elephant.
As part of Rocket Round Leicester, sculptures were visited on average 96,000 times throughout the trail. Your business will also be able to offer a Sculpture reward on the Stomp Round Leicester app that is personal to you and your goals, whether that be brand awareness, sales driven or something more community focussed.
The big finale
At the end of the trail a the Elephant sculptures are brought together for one last time as part of our fantastic Farewell Event. It gives everyone a final chance to see the Elephants, meet some of the artists involved, and maybe choose a favourite to bid on at auction.
When everyone has said their farewells, the sculptures will be put up for adoption and sold at a mammoth auction to raise funds for LOROS Hospice and find the Elephants their forever homes.

Our previous art trail in 2021, Rocket Round Leicester, saw 40 huge, gorgeously decorated Rockets lift off, bringing us all a much needed explosion of fun during the pandemic. Benefits were considerable for the city, for local businesses and also in support of our services for patients and families. Most of all it opened us all up to new audiences, many of whom have since become our most dedicated supporters.
Our new trail represents a wealth of opportunities to partner with us, from sculpture sponsorship to gifts in kind, to employee volunteering to CSR.
Below are just some of the ways that you can expect Stomp Round Leicester to benefit your own business if you join the herd.
Your brand will be on show to thousands of people throughout the trail. Over 270,000 visitors actively explored our Rocket Round Leicester art trail in 2021. Partner logos and business names were featured on over 40,000 trail maps in circulation.
Reach new audiences through the publicity that the trail will generate. Stories about Rocket Round Leicester were featured over 140 times in local media, with the press generated returning an advertising value equivalent to £90,000. TV news coverage alone reached 3.6 million households.
Engage with potential customers by offering a reward as part of our Stomp Round Leicester app. Over 53,000 rewards from sponsors were unlocked on our Rocket app in 2021, showcasing your business in a way that is personal to you.
Talk to people about your business in person by organising activities, competitions etc. that all link into your sculpture’s design and location. Last time around, each sponsor’s Sculpture was visited by an estimated 96,000 people on average.
Demonstrate your business’s commitment to core values by choosing artwork that reflects your own business’s personal values, goals and ambitions. Over 300 designs were submitted to Rocket Round Leicester, with businesses using them to promote innovation, equality of opportunity, diversity and much more.
Create your own marketing campaign around your sponsored sculpture that promotes your business in a way that is unique and personal to you. Make the biggest impression by reaching out to an already captive audience as they explore the Stomp Round Leicester trail.
Build connections with other local businesses. 46 different businesses all came together to make Rocket Round Leicester a reality in 2021, and there are many different opportunities to meet all those participating in Stomp Round Leicester, for example at our Art Selection and VIP Preview events.
Support employee wellbeing and engagement by offering them time to volunteer as part of an incredibly feel-good project, as well as explore the trail that you helped to create with their own families.
Benefit from association with a well-respected local charity. LOROS Hospice cares for more than 2,500 terminally adult patients and their families every single year, and the trail will mark our 40th anniversary.
Make Stomp Round Leicester a major part of your CSR initiatives in 2025. Support a local charity whilst contributing to the health and wellbeing of our community. 75% of trail-goers said that Rocket Round Leicester made them feel like they were part of a wider Leicester community.
