A local hospice, here for local people
We will all reach the end of our lives – and when that happens, many people need the specialist, expert, compassionate care which LOROS provides. Our team of nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals, work tirelessly, bringing skill, experience and dedication to every patient we care for.
Our care is as special and unique as each individual, with the aim of helping patients live the very fullest life they can, right up until their last day. Our support is free but it costs £8.5m to deliver our services each year.
LOROS Opened - 2025 marks 40 years of the hospice caring for our community.
We care for more than 2,500 local people and their loved ones every year.
We have to raise £8.5 million from our local community every year to be able to deliver our care.
All our care is provided free of charge
The reality is that, one day, it may be us, or someone we know and love who urgently needs our care.
As a local charity, here to serve everyone in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, we desperately want to be able to say ‘yes’ to all of these requests but the reality is, we can only provide the care local people need if we can afford it. LOROS is a charity and the cost of care for 4 out of every 5 of our patients is raised through donations from people like you.

Fundraise for LOROS Hospice
We’ll be looking for volunteers to join us on the adventure in 2025. As volunteers, you’ll support LOROS Hospice and help to showcase Leicester. A whole host of volunteering opportunities will be available and more information is to follow in early 2025.
