An ele-fantastic public art event that Leicester will never forget!

Following the stratospheric success of the Rocket Round Leicester trail in 2021, LOROS will be teaming up with Wild in Art again to present an incredible new public sculpture trail that’s going to leave a big impression.

For 10 weeks in the summer of 2025, Leicester will be inspired by a mammoth art trail parading through its streets, parks and open spaces.

40 beautifully designed Elephant sculptures will Stomp Round Leicester in recognition of LOROS’ 40th anniversary, taking trail-goers on a journey of discovery past the city’s well-known icons and hidden gems.

Every giant Elephant on the trail will be designed by talented artists from the local area and further afield and sponsored by a business. Also roaming across the city will be mini-herds of Baby Elephant sculptures, adopted and decorated by schools and community groups as part of our exciting Learning Programme.

Farewell Event

There will be a chance to say a final ‘goodbye’ at a Farewell Event before each giant Elephant sculpture is auctioned at the end of the trail to raise much-needed funds for LOROS and each Baby Elephant returns to its forever home with their schools and community groups.
