Visit the Baby Elephant trail!

Elephant herds are caring with nurturing their young a key focus. Equally important to Stomp Round Leicester is our county-wide Learning Programme, where Baby Elephant sculptures designed by nurseries, schools, colleges and community groups will be joining the 40 giant Elephants to form our spectacular art trail.

Come and join us on a mini-safari for a sneaky peek at all our Baby Elephant sculptures decorated by local schools, colleges, nurseries and community groups from Wednesday 2nd July before the main Stomp Round Leicester art trail begins on Monday 14th July.

Baby Elephants will be dotted around Leicester city centre in mini-herds just waiting to be discovered by intrepid art trail explorers!

The Baby Elephants will be roaming the trail in mini-herds with other Baby Elephants across Leicester’s indoor public areas. They’ll be proudly on display alongside the work of all our professional artists, showcasing the skills of schools and groups, When the trail ends, the Baby Elephants will stomp back to join their owners in their forever home!

Join the herd for a tonne of ele-fun!

Support LOROS Hospice whilst challenging and inspiring future artists and creative minds. This is your school or group’s opportunity to get involved in an incredible art project that will leave an impression across the city of Leicester and make a big impact.

Elephant herds are caring with nurturing their young a key focus. Equally important to Stomp Round Leicester will be our county-wide Learning Programme, where Baby Elephant sculptures designed by nurseries, schools, colleges and community groups like you will join the 40 giant Elephants to form our spectacular art trail.

We’re inviting nurseries, schools and colleges and community groups in Leicestershire to get creative and join this exceptional public art event in 2025. If you decide to join the herd then we’ll provide you with your very own blank Baby Elephant sculpture. This is yours to decorate and with the children you’ll choose its design, personality and name.

The sculpture gives a special creative opportunity to engage pupils and community groups in important topics – from environmental issues and the natural world, to citizenship, and health and wellbeing. Each participating school and group will receive resources and coordination for lessons and support.

After getting creative, you can see your Baby Elephant roaming the trail in mini-herds with other Baby Elephants across Leicester’s indoor public areas for 10 weeks from July to September 2025. They’ll be proudly on display alongside the work of all our professional artists, showcasing the skills of your school or group. When the trail ends, your Baby Elephant will stomp back to join you in its forever home!
