Overview

We all often forget to ask those important every day questions that really matter or make a difference. Artist Katy Dynes’ elephant, I’m All Ears, is adorned with a host of friendly greetings to reach out and connect with people. It serves as a giant reminder to remember to ask…….as elephants never forget.

Meet the Artist

Katy Dynes

Hi! I live in a little village just outside of Market Harborough, Leicestershire. After graduating with an HND in 2D Animation from the Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design (now the Arts University Bournemouth), I have been working as a Freelance Illustrator and workshop provider since 2007.  My work covers a huge range of subjects including greetings/handmade cards, book illustration, cartoons, pet portraits, soft toy designing/making, murals, community artworks, private commissions and teaching Art workshops to Primary School children. I’ve been very fortunate and work with many high profile clients, Publishers, individuals, organisations and Charities. In my illustration work, I work mostly in watercolour, ink and gouache, delighting in experimenting with my great passion of illustrating on very very old paper and organic materials. In my ‘spare’ time, I can often be found reading, dancing, dreaming or outside, walking the surrounding fields and sketching in pastel in my garden. Since moving to the Midlands, I’ve been lucky enough to just ‘disappear into and absorb’ this amazing countryside, always finding a little magic wherever I go.
