Overview
Ellie is a fully lifelike young African elephant. She is representing her kind as sadly her species is at risk of extinction. She loves welcoming visitors!
Elephants like Ellie live in female-led groups, run by the largest and oldest lady in the herd. Interestingly, elephants are one of the only mammals that can’t jump, as their legs are too short to propel their bodies up in the air! Elephants can breathe when they’re underwater as they use their trunks like snorkels! Their trunks alone contain a whopping 40,000 muscles and are incredibly strong.
