Overview
The whole school celebrated World Book Day and we based it on Elmer – the patchwork elephant. Classes did lots of different activities about elephants, read stories, painted and stomped like elephants. Elmer hid all over the outdoor learning field and all the students had to see if they could find him. Then each student decorated a patch to cover our statue. Each child designed their own patch – some did mark making, some, finger painting and others designed intricate patterns. The sixth form wanted our school values should be visible too.
