Mabel the Elephant

Location: Leicester Cathedral – Gallery

Overview

Pupils and staff at The Meadow wanted Mabel’s design to illustrate and bring their ideas to life of the origin of our school’s name and as a representation of a meadow. Before our school was built, all of the fields around here were flower meadows and we wanted our baby elephant to depict the history of the area. Every pupil at The Meadow has designed a flower or an insect and these are included somewhere on Mabel.
