Overview

The children at the Merton were very excited at the prospect of receiving an elephant to design. Following a whole school assembly, where we were joined by the centre manager of the Haymarket shopping centre and a representative of LOROS, each class spoke to the children about the wonderful things they have learnt in school and the themes they may want to include in their designs. Over 400 children created their own design on the elephant template before judges selected one design from each year group. The talented artist, Rebecca then combined the 7 designs to create our final piece of artwork. The children have been able to capture their love of learning, with key elements of our school as well as our wonderful City.
