Overview

Two student groups from Rushey Mead Academy took a lead on coordinating the decoration of the baby elephant. The Wildlife Warriors and Student Voice Action Team. They started by surveying the whole school for a theme (staff and students) and the chosen theme was nature. Members of our school community – students, admin staff, cleaners, canteen staff and also teachers all came along to drop in sessions to add their ‘nature art’ to the sculpture. Nature and caring for the environment are really important to staff and students at Rushey Mead Academy.
